The Next Movement band performed at Oprah Winfrey’s 1989 New Years Eve Party where she proclaimed them the best vocal group in Chicago. The group's next release in 1991, "Let's Work It Out," became a dance classic and club hit.

The group relocated to Las Vegas in 1995 and has since found a home in many Las Vegas Showrooms and Lounges. The current line-up features original members Carnell Haywood and Samuel Thomas, Jr., along with music veterans Claude Barnett and Warren Moore and they continue making a name for themselves 39 years later.
