Marriage License Information
- A valid marriage license must be issued by Clark County.
- Out-of-state marriage licenses are not accepted in the state of Nevada.
- The marriage license can be purchased for $60 cash or with a traveler's check from a U.S. bank.
- There is no waiting period or blood test required.
- Applicants must be 18 years or older, a valid photo ID is required.
- Notarized parental consent or presence is required for 16 or 17 year olds.
- A court order is required for those under the age of 16.
- If either party is divorced, the exact date, county, and state where the divorce became finalized is all that is required.
- Licenses maybe obtained up to a year in advance.
- The marriage license must be provided to the coordinator prior to the start of the ceremony.
- Social Security Numbers are required on the Affidavit of Application for a Marriage License. Those without knowledge of their Social Security Number may be refused a marriage license. It is recognized that non U.S. citizens will not have a Social Security Number.
